Mediterranean-Inspired Wrap Filler

One year at the fair I picked up a Greek gyro on the midway. This was basically a wrap with meat seasoned with Greek seasonings, iceberg lettuce, and fairly flavorless tomatoes. To top this off was a dollop of yogurt.

Iceberg lettuce and cardboard tomatoes aside, it was actually pretty good. So I took home the idea and improved upon it.

First, brown hamburger, chicken, beans, or any combination thereof. Season with garlic, dill, basil, and thyme, if you have it.

Slice green peppers, onions, and/or tomatoes. Leave fresh or fry for awhile with the rest of the filling. You may wish to include lettuce.

Take a taco shell, a pita wrap, or maybe some bread, and place the fillings inside. Add a dollop of plain yogurt or sour cream. I prefer the yogurt because it has a more sour and tangy flavor.
